Sarah Burton is the new creative director at McQueen

Sarah Burton has been Alexander McQueens right hand for years, and now she is taking over the clothing line, according to the Gucci Group, who owns the label.

She has been designing the ladies line since 2000 and was working closely with McQueen up until he committed suicide.

“The creation of modern, beautifully-crafted clothes was at the heart of Lee’s vision. I intend to stay true to his legacy,” Burton said today.
